Gladstone Medical Centre
has recently developed in-house a multipurpose
"Information Display - and Call-in System" nicknamed the 'Door
Man'.
This system uses computer display screens to serve the purpose of calling
in patients and to display patient informational messages and videos/
presentations. A text scroll runs constantly at the bottom of screen
for various announcements related to the patients and the practice.
When a doctor calls a patient from his computer (by pressing Call Patient
(button) the presentations pauses and goes to the background while a
message with patient's name and the calling doctor's name pops up on
the main display in the reception while at the same time an automated
audio announcement to call-in patient is also made by the system. Pleasse
