Gladstone Medical Centre offers a wide range of training opportunities for all types of candidates:

    Clinical Attachments for qualified Doctors
    GMC provides clinical attachments for qualified Medical Doctors who want to acquaint themselves to the NHS working It provides advice regarding issues related to General practice.

      • Dr Shah is F2 SHO, working for Arrowe Park Hospital, currently in General Practice for four months..

    Medical Students
    Gladstone Medical centre has been providing medical education and tuition to Medical students of Liverpool University since 1998 (mainly to last year of their education). Since 2004 we were involved with third year and fourth year students. From this year we will be taking on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year medical students.

    These students spend some time with the doctors, Management staff and the Nursing staff of the Practice. During that period they will have opportunity to learn different aspect of patient care in Primary Care settings. They will only have an observer status and patients will have a right to ask they should not be present during a consultation.

Graduate Mental Health Workers
Gladstone Medical Centre has been awarded Training Practice status for the training of "Graduate Mental Health Workers". This is a new government initiative for Enhanced Services for Patients with Mental health problems. These graduates will receive their final training in Primary Care surroundings.

    Nurse Training
    Nursing student in their final training program has also been attached to this practice for the past 8 years. The Nurse structure under Nurse Sue Passingham has provided very high quality training to these Nurses in Primary Care setting.

    School Placements
    Gladstone Medical Centre has taken on school students (age 14-16) for work experience from the local schools since 1995. This programme has been very successful providing students insight into work environment. We have had very positive feedback from the Schools and the student
