to Medical students of Liverpool University since 1998 (mainly to last
year of their education). Since 2004 we were involved with third year
and fourth year students. From this year we will be taking on 1st, 2nd,
3rd and 4th year medical students.
These students spend some time with the doctors, Management staff and
the Nursing staff of the Practice. During that period they will have
opportunity to learn different aspect of patient care in Primary Care
settings. They will only have an observer status and patients will have
a right to ask they should not be present during a consultation.

Gladstone Medical Centre has been awarded Training Practice status for
the training of "Graduate Mental Health Workers". This is
a new government initiative for Enhanced Services for Patients with
Mental health problems. These graduates will receive their final training
in Primary Care surroundings.

to this practice for the past 8 years. The Nurse structure under Nurse
Sue Passingham has provided very high quality training to these Nurses
in Primary Care setting.
