PRACTICE MANAGER

Deborah Portbury

Debbie joined our practice in 1992 as a receptionist. Completed the Practice Managers Development Programme in 1996. Became Practice Manager in 1995. An innovative manager with a broad knowledge of the changing NHS. She develops and ensures the smooth running of the practice.

IT/Computer Manager

Zubair Qureshi

Has extensive experience in system analysis and design, database management systems and web development.Gained MSc degree in Software Engineering from the Liverpool University and BSc degree in Management Information Systems/Business Administration. Zubair joined us in December 2001 and is helping the practice develop and improve its computer systems and records.

Joanne Griffiths

Joanne joined the practice in 1987 as YTS trainee. Became Reception Manager in 1995. She has extensive experience and knowledge of the practice and patients.

Helen joined the practice in January 2004 working as practice administrator. Previously Helen was working in Birkenhead & Wallasey PCT as secretary to head of communication and corporate services.

Dhun recently joined the practice as admin assistant having previously worked in a Bank.

PRACTICE NURSES

  • Sue Passingham(Coordinator) Qualified in 1976 as an SRN. Working as a Nurse Coordinator , Sue leads our team of practice nurses and plays an integral role in the running and development of various clinics. Sue has recently set up and is running the Nurse Led Triage within the practice

  • Mavis Garewal Mavis qualified as an RSCN in 1953 and as an SRN in 1962.She has extensive nursing experience after working as a hospital sister from 1952 until 1992, including 25 years in the burns unit. Mavis has been employed as a part-time practice nurse since 1992 and has helped the practice develop services for the elderly. She regularly visits our housebound patients, ensuring they are receiving the utmost care and attention

  • Louise Calvert. Qualified as RGN in 1995. Louise joined the practice in April 2006. Previously worked in acute medical wards at Arrowe Park Hospital for 6 years. District nurse in West Kirkby for last 5 years.
